Varicose Vein Treatments

In a private, complimentary consultation Dr. Ferdouse Sartawi will carefully evaluate your varicose veins and customize a treatment for an optimal outcome. Most frequently, sclerotherapy — or in some cases RFA (radio frequency ablation) — are chosen to reduce the appearance or remove varicose veins.

Sclerotherapy

Relies on a highly concentrated saline solution that is injected straight into the vein. This causes the vein to disappear gradually over three to six weeks. The procedure is minimally invasive with minimal downtime. Go here to read more about sclerotherapy.

Radiofrequency Ablation

Uses a small catheter inserted into the vein. The catheter delivers radiofrequency to the vein wall, causing it to heat, collapse, and seal shut. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Go here to read more about RFA.
